Extrusion - Eiffel tower

Hi, im trying to print this thing in 0.3mm for a 3d printing challenge in my delta printer

my first try with abs was odd, perfect bridging but bad 45° columns

Im using simplify 3d and low speed, i tried using pla and a much slower speed and acceleration + full colling, it started to look better, but i still cannot achieve those 45° colums to print perfect
any suggestion?

pd:i have a common gregs wade extruder 5:1 (bowden) maybe there is a better extruder for this job?

I converted to Bowden but switched back to direct because feed and retraction was so sloppy. Flex in the tube just wasn't producing as clean a print.

its a delta thats why the bowden, i will try mounting the extruder directly on the efector to see if that helps, thanks for the advice

Also check the g-code and preview carefully!
I tried an eiffel tower earlier this year with S3D just to see how far I get.
Turned out S3D removed most fine details.
After some searching I found the culprit in the extrusion width: If a part is thinner that this it won't be printed at all.
If it is very close to this diameter and a single structure you only get a little blob and it is very hard to get proper placement and adhesion to the next blob.

you are absolutely right, tried cura and it printed absolutely different, now it has floors on each level, (???) but still the 45° columns are not perfect, i will atach a picture when it finish

To be able to print this tower I ended up downloading quite a few models first.
Checked them for being printable with some online service and then checked what the thinnest parts of the model are.
In the end I had the option to either forget about it or to print far bigger than planned so the finer structures are actually wider than my nozzle diameter of 0.3mm.
Would have been possible after cutting it into 4 pieces for the print but I did not like a tower of more than a meter ROFL
I guess even then it would have been hard on the extruder due to the thausands of retractions per piece.
Some things are just not compatible with filament printers....
