Best filament for printer parts

What's peoples opinions on the best filaments for 3d printer parts, I have had some problems with pla delaminating under stress.

I have an e3d hotend and heatbed so should be able to run anything.

Thanks

For me it is ABS only basically. It is much better machinable than PLA or PETG. I might consider HIPS, but it doesn't realy have an advantage over ABS for me.

Just been looking at taulman 910 might try a small sample

I use PLA for everything except for things near heat - basically only the extruder and the X carriage. Yes it's not very machinable, but I find it very rigid and strong and have never had a delamination problem

PETG for all.

PLA/PHA for me

If your printer isn't enclosed and warm, you won't be able to print ABS very well, even with a heated bed.

While that still holds true for larger parts, modern ABS filament is much less prone to warping thann it was in the past.
I have very good results with Extrudr ABS. While eSun ABS+ practically does not warp at all for me, it is problematic when it comes to bridging and overhangs.

It depends on the part. If it's gonna take heat or high force, that rules out PLA. If it's big and can't be allowed to warp, that rules out ABS. If you can run PC, do it, but I've heard it's a pain.

Really? I hadn't noticed...

PETG for all.

Sorry to necro this thread.

I'm curious about PETG for parts. Especially those near the Hotend.
Normally I use ABS because it can stand up to the radiant heat from the Hotend.

I don't have my printer enclosed, but I get good parts that don't warp in ABS

I know the Glass Transition for ABS is 105C, and for PETG is 88C

I was wondering if anyone had any anecdotal tests of PETG for something like an Extruder Block
Wondering if that extra 17C made a difference

I can only give you one in the opposite direction. I now print the fan duct that goes near the hotend in PC instead ABS, since ABS got so soft that it deformed.

The main problem with PLA is tapping. If you go to fast it melts. I use oil and go very slowly.
