Printing problems....
March 06, 2016 04:07AM
I have just recently finally gotten my Euroway Prusa i3 to print but most of my prints come out bad I have photos in the attachments. I'm printing in PLA and have the machine set at 210° for the nozzle and 70° for the heatbed. What would be the cause for prints that turn out like these...? Any help is much appreciated...

Hi, can you post the photos with a .jpg extension, it makes them easier for everyone to look at.

I do apologize I had no idea they didn't save correctly... These should be correct...

That's some pretty exciting stuff you've got going on there! My first thought is that you're not getting enough plastic extruded. Have you worked through one of the calibration guides like this one: [reprap.org] ?

Hey thanks so much, I'm about to try this out!

Without knowing what you're expecting, it's a bit hard to advise. For example, the 4th object (20160306_123149.jpg) seems reasonable.

I'm wondering about temperature... I print PLA at 190, with a cold bed. Maybe 210, plus a 70C bed, is too hot?

The banding in your prints could be due to play in your X, Y, or Z axis belts, or loose drive gears.

I assume that none of your motors is skipping?

Also seems like over-extrusion. What is the filaments actual outer diameter, and what is it set to in the slicer? (or, extrusion multiplier if you use it)

Only one of the prints came out ok. The others seemed to not get get any filament or it somehow gotten splotchy. I'm using PLA and the size is 1.75. There seems to be no play in the belts and no loose gears. The setting in the slicer was incorrect but after correcting it there want any change in the quality of the prints. I was printing at 210° C for the nozzle and 70° C for the heatbed.
