MATERIAL DOES NOT MELT PROPERLY

Hi. i set up my prusa i3 everything is working fine. i give 230 degrees to heat up PLA but i dont think it actually heats up to that level. the extrusion is not proper. what do i do?

What do you mean by "the extrusion is not proper"? What actually happens? Photos would be useful.

Why do think it doesn't heat up to the right temperature? Have you measured the nozzle temperature with (e.g.) a multimeter?

Incidentally, 230C is way too hot for PLA... I print PLA at 190C.
