Ugly print
January 17, 2018 07:52AM
Hello, it's been a while I use my 3Dprinter. I remember my print out of a flat 3mm rectangle came out pretty smooth. Now I did the same print, the side agenst the bed is very smooth, but the side facing upward is very ugly and rough, I tried to adjust the bed temperture, doesn't help. What other factor could contribute to this? Thanks.

Temperature of filament, accuracy of extruder calibration, top layer extrusion width, poor quality filament, poor z axis calibration, partially blocked nozzle, a damaged nozzle, too few top solid layers, too fast top layer speed. There are probably other factors but these are all worth experimenting with one at a time, start with extruder calibration and top layer speed.
