Need help fixing this.

Converted Melzi to MKS GEN1.4 on my Duplicator i3.

Tried printing ZXY calibration cube on thingiverse

this was the second. When watching the 2nd it was almost like the extruder kept stopping and starting. I had to stop it




When using the lcd to do a feed of like 30 mm's it seem to come out ok.

Quick update, could it be Cura?

The 2 prints I did was using Cura Wanhao edition and then the latest version.

Last night I did the same print object but I used Repetier host and used slicer as the slice engine. I tried keeping the settings the same where I could.

Other than calibration issues I.e. the Y on the cube looked a bit off near the top, the cube printed with no issues

You should feed 100mm into the extruder and measure if it was actually 100mm filament disappearing. Mark the filament 120mm above the extruder with a felt pen and measure if there's 20mm left after extruding.

The length of the extruded plastic should be much longer.
