Malyan M150 - calibration problem
September 06, 2018 06:07PM
Hi Guys,

Trying to print in PLA xyzCalibration_cube, but as you can see on picture and video I have some problems.
I think my Z steps are calibrated correct because if I move z-axis for 100 mm and I check length with caliper it is exactly 100 mm. (maybe not exactly 100mm but close)

Printer Malyan M150

For print I use:
  • 0.2 mm
  • infill 30%
  • extrusion 1.1
  • extruder temp 200
  • bed temp 60
  • cooling fan always on
  • fan speed 100% all the time

Could you please have a look?
printing issue

Not sure what can be a reason that printing part is damaged sad smiley

Hi Guys,

Today I went back to stock E steps (93) and my print looks better, much better. But with 93 steps when I sent command to move extr 100mm my filament move about 65 mm. When I use 150.1 steps and when I send command to move extr 100 - my filament move 100mm
Not sure what I suppose to do now. Leave it as it is or find another reason.

There are three parameters that regulate extrusion:
1. filament diameter
2. extrusion multiplier ( yours is set to 1.1 )
3. e-steps

I usually measure filament diameter and set the value spot on, same to e-steps calibration.
From there, I only play with extrusion multiplier to fine tune the print, where I tend to slightly under extrude.
