Printing with polyoxymethylene (AKA POM or Delrin®)

I know that POM filament:
  • is available
  • is difficult to get to stick to any print bed material
  • will release gaseous formaldehyde if heated above about 250° C
Has anyone here printed with it? I have a part that incorporates a lead screw nut and it would be perfect to implement in POM and then machine the thread.

If POM is too difficult to additively manufacture, are there other materials which machine easily and provide a slick enough surface to act as a lead screw nut?

I haven't tried POM, but i used Nylon and Igus Iglidur for bushings and lead screw nuts with success.
