Layer Wipe

Hello, I have been trying to get a simple wipe function to work after every layer to prevent petg blobs. the wipe part is working but my issue is no matter what I do, the extruder always re-primes immediately after moving to the wipe brush when I want it to re-prime once its moved back into position, my layer change script is as follows, any help would be appreciated.

G91
G1 F1500 E-4
G90
G60 S1
G0 F5000
G0 X250
G61 X Y S1
M400

any idea where to ask? these forums seem very dead

I see an E -4 move in your second line which would retract. I don't see a positive 4 move to re-prime.

not exactly new around here, but 6 days no answer, 4 before a reply = dead, thanks for the answer

yeah, i was testing to see if thats why it primed before moving back to the spot but even without the -4 it still did, my guess is the firmware is doing the E axis on the G61 command for some reason even though according to marlin docs it should be limited to X and Y with G61 X Y S1, but this firmware is an elegoo on the knock off robin board
