Slic3r and pronterface

Hi everyone.

Could someone explain how to get slic3r to run in pronterface? I have tried a few things but I noticed I don't have the "slicing options" from the top menu?

I believe that the integration features were not merged into Printrun master branch, so you need to use the experimental one.

Ahh thanks for the replies, I have now got the experimental version but I dont understand the code that needs to be put into the slice command and sliceoptcommand, could someone help me with this? I am using windows btw!

What exactly don't you understand of it?

I know this an old subject but I'm new to Slic3r. So, I can't get Pronterface to work with Slic3r either. It won't accept the path and gives me this error:

Entering skeinforge settings: C:\Program Files\Slic3r --load C:\Program Files\Slic3r --ignore-nonexistent-config
Skeinforge execution failed: [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified

Here are the 2 fieldsI have entered according to this site: [github.com]

slicecommand:
C:\Program Files\Slic3r $s --load C:\Program Files\Slic3r --output $o

sliceoptscommand:
C:\Program Files\Slic3r --load C:\Program Files\Slic3r --ignore-nonexistent-config
Can anyone tell me why I still get the error?

None of your paths are set correctly as they all say "C:\Program Files\Slic3r".

You need to change those to reflect the complete location of slic3r and the complete location of the config file for the 2nd path.

If your paths have spaces in them then you need to use double quotes around the path name.

Problem solved.

I needed to put double quotes around the path because I have spaces in my path names.

The follow-up qould be, does anyone know if this works with Makerbot hardware? I can't seem to connect to my machine. I am using the same port and baud rates as RepG

I have not figured out correct spelling.Can you help me .
My path is C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Pronterface\Slic3r\slic3r.exe

Just download the latest pronterface, it has slic3r included.

Does anyone know the pin out assignments of the Makerbot extruder board? I've finally got printerface to communicate with my machine but when I send a heatup command, nothing happens. I can't figure out what pins should be assigned to the thermocouple. I reads the temps but doesn't heat.

ok - I downloaded current experimental branch of pronterface. kliment-Printrun-0dd3ce3
executed it nd wanted to change settings: I see the text "Entering skeinforge settings: python skeinforge/skeinforge_application/skeinforge.py"
but nothing more happens.

is the integration supposed to work ?

someone needs to post tutorials for these things
