Hello everybody,
this is to let you know that 0.6.0 is out and ready for download on [slic3r.org]

The key feature is support for thin walls, but it includes many other new features and improvements listed on the project home page.

THX!
I see very substantial speed improvements for some pieces (from 7 minutes to about 45 seconds).
Circles: still seeing frequent artifacts going into thin air. But one simple piece that generated errors is coming out OK now.
Is there a way to reduce temperature for bridges? (other than a small fan)

Downloaded it now but yet to try it out . . love the fact that you added automatic retraction at the end of the print. Can't wait to give it a go in the morning

I have been using version 5.7 and I love it.
Downloaded version 6.0 as I notice that the fill to perimeter issue has been fixed.
However, my Norton Security Suite virus scan quarrantined it as a high risk twice.
I need help

I think this is more a Norton problem than a slic3r problem....
I quit using Norton stuff about 10 years ago, exactly for this reason, apparently nothing has changed sad smiley

Tom

@hlyman, if you downloaded the Slic3r package from the slic3r.org website you shouldn't worry at all. I maintain that website and the application itself is very clean without any kind of malware...

It's interesting and funny to note that Norton blocks Slic3r 0.6.0 which is distributed as a .zip file and it didn't block previous versions which were distributed inside a self-extracting executable archive... That really doesn't match my idea of "security" spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
