Raft Options

I was wondering if there has been any thought given to adding more raft options to Slic3r?
I am fairly new to printing, so I have been tinkering with the different software packages out there. I really like the quality of the prints I am getting from Slic3r on my TAZ 4, but I find myself wishing that it did rafts like Cura does. Cura has about 9 or so options available for rafting if you open the Expert settings. If you go into the actual .ini file, there are 16 options to set for raft building. Cura does really nice rafts, but I dislike almost everything else about it. I have never had a really excellent print from a Cura sliced model. That being said, I have never had one lift off the glass either since the raft is so huge. I have attached a photo of a (failed) print to show the awesome raft produced.
I have not attempted to look at the code as yet, just wondering if something like this might be in development.
