My extruder stepper motor is not running when I slice-up an STL with Slic3r. Tough using the simple G-code generator in Repsnapper it works. I tried to copy some of the G-code from Repsnapper to the generated code from Slic3r... that didn't work. Some settings I did not see? help confused smiley

Using a Prusa Mendel gen6 with a J-head extruder.

Best guess you have the wrong flavor of gCode being generated, assuming your extruder is E it needs to be set to Marlin/Sprinter, if it's set to Mach it will use A as the extruder.

I discovered it has something to do with speed. I've got it now.
I do not have the right settings, but I'll manage.

Hey Pretrick,

Can you please elaborate I'm getting it as well (just updated to new version of Slic3r (8.4) had version 7.1 and rarely got this issue).

BTW using proterface, marlin, homemade printhead (similar to arcol v4.0)
