Knowing if support material will be printed beforehand
August 22, 2018 09:03AM
Hi.
I am using Slic3r command line to generate the Gcode in my application. I have my settings set to generate support material, but it will only be generated when the figure comply with certain requirements.
Is there any way of knowing beforehand if support material will be printed, as I don't have any visual preview, as in the GUI.

Thank you.

type gcode.ws into the URL of your browser and load the gcode file. It works for gcode files up to about 20MB.

Thank you for your answer.

In fact I was using another website to check it manually ( [jherrm.com] ), but I wondered whether there was any way of knowing it automatically so that I can implement it in my application.
I think what I will do is just implement a gcode preview library so that the user can check it.

Cheers.

Or just use Slic3r's GUI and be done with it.
