issues with infill to perimeter flow ratio

Howdy All, I am banging my head against the following issue.

When I calibrate my e-steps to get a correct thickness extrusion (for single perimeter walls), I get way too much infill (at 100%). When I calibrate my e-steps to give me good infill my walls are too narrow. In skeinforge I can set different a different aspect ratio for infill vs perimeters. How can I accomplish the same thing in slic3r?

Are you doing infill every layer or every other layer? If you are doing every other layer and have any "interesting" geometry (such as a sloping face, or a hole with two diameters), then Slic3r will not produce correct infill. See the bug here: Slic3r Infill Bug
