Calibration help? (Slic3r 0.9.8)

I have recently recieved a Airwolf 3D printer (AW3D V .5) and have been spending the last 2 weeks trying to get the prints to come out better.

The AW3D came with a set of configuration files, and .stl files to print out the parts for itself. But when i used them, it came out nothing at all like whats on the machine.

I have been using the latest version of Slic3r (0.9.8) but it seems that i have been running myself in circles trying to get the settings dialed in.


Does any body have a guide for calibrating your Slic3r settings, or perhaps a configuration file i could use to get me started?
