Bug when setting number of shells

I'm running 9.8 right now but this is an issue I've had for many previous versions as well.

When I go in the Print Settings > Layers and Perimeters settings and try and set the number of perimeters, top layers, and bottom layers, then save the setting, the change doesn't always take. I normally only see the problem when I'm changing the values from 2 to 3, but if I change from 2 to 1, 1 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 3, I don't normally see the problem. I haven't tested enough cases to pinpoint what is in error, but needless to say it is a very annoying issue becuase sometimes I don't catch it.

Anybody else having these issues? I'm running the x86 program on Windows 7.

This is symptomatic of not deleting the config files between updates. Try deleting your printer, filament and print ini files. I don't remember exactly where they are but searching this forum will help.

Using ABSPrusa Mendel Zaphod with Pronterface and slic3r 1.3.0. Printing well with 3mm PLA and ABS through 2 x J Head Mk IV b and Wade Geared Exruders. Controlled using RAMPS1.4 board running Marlin_v1.1.9
