I would be very appreciative if you could include an option which ran the fan only during the perimeters. I need it for print quality but I also need the piece to stay hot and fuse properly for strength!

Seconded, also perhaps the option to detect regions with overhanging perimeters and turn on for those. External perimeters only might also work for this.

I think this would be useful too. In addition, while watching some of my prints, I would like to try having the cooling fan on at max during infill for sparse infills. Perhaps it would be good to have an advanced cooling tab where you can force %cooling for various print processes (similar to how there are specific options for extrusion widths depending on what you are extruding for).

I'd like this as well - a nice configurable fan percent field for use during perimeters only would be lovely. In the event that the print will take less than the specified time, you could always override with the higher of the two numbers.

Hey guys,

I would also love cooling for perimeters, because with some parts where there is some bridging it doesn't automatically turn the fan on for the perimeters (that are actually bridges) and the whole thing ends up pretty messy.
