How to change printing location?

Hello,

I use Slic3r to slice an object and load the g code from Pronterface to print the object.

When printing a small test piece for calibration, I would like to print it to a different location on the heated plate instead of printing it on the center all the time.

I use a glass with hair spray on, which has been working out great for me, but after a print or two I lose adhesion and need to clean the glass and re-apply hair spray. Since I usually have to print a small piece many times when calibrating my printer, I want to use all the surfaces before I clean the glass.

I tried to move the location of the object in Slic3r off center, but it automatically puts it back to the center. I think I can only arrange the location of the object myself when I have more than 1 object.

Or, would this be something I can control in Pronterface?

You can try using g code M206 to change your x and y home position. I've used it on occasion, but you need to be careful since I think it can allow your printhead to move outside of the normal print envelope.

you can also change the print bed center in the Printer tab of Slic3r
