SLIC3r messing up again
October 19, 2014 11:36AM
I was a third of the way through an ABS print at 240C when the temperature dropped to 225C jamming the extruder.

Here is the offending G-Code:

296 G1 X87.204 Y113.696 E74.51719

298 G1 X86.304 Y113.637 E74.62175
299 G1 X86.363 Y113.696 E74.62591
300 M104 S225 ; set temperature
301 G1 Z0.412 F7800.000
302 G1 F1800.000 E72.62591
303 G92 E0
304 G1 X92.000 Y114.000 F7800.000
305 G1 X91.000 Y117.000 F7800.000
306 G1 X85.000 Y122.200 F7800.000
307 G1 E2.00000 F1800.000

311 G1 X79.910 Y120.090 E2.19904
312 G1 X79.010 Y119.000 E2.24888

Line 300 lowers the temperature, WHY?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

As the command to reduce temperature happens just before changing Z to 0.412, I guess this is the transition from the first to the second layer. Looks like you have set the first layer temperature to 240C and the general extruder temp set to 225C in the slic3r settings.

This was a third of the way through the print on layer ~17.

But I went back and checked and you are correct first layer 240C other layers 225C.

If it had failed on layer 2, I would have guessed that was the problem but it waited for layer 17 to show up.

Thank you fixed it now on to my next problems.
