Linux version Sli3r how to switch to expert mode?

I have recently installed Sli3r version 1.2.9 in a Linux Ubuntu environment. It will open in what must be a basic mode (not sure I am a new Sli3r user). It suggests that I choose expert mode for more options. I have pressed every button or tab I can find and I am unsure how or where to enable expert mode. I tried to Google a solution. No luck.

Open the File>preferences menu, select Expert mode.

Thank you for your reply. Being a non Linux expert I forgot to drag my mouse outside the Sli3r window and to the top of the desktop and hover. To my surpise my answer appeared right before my eyes. It also disappears when the mouse is moved down about 3/8 of an inch.
