Lithophanes after slicing not on the bed
June 12, 2018 04:30AM
Hi there,

i am trying to print some lithophanes but have weird problems with slicing in Slic3r.
After rotating the object around the x-axes and slicing it with the settings from here, the object is not on the printer bed any more.
I dont`know if there is any setting?

Any ideas?

Thanks
Tino

Usually the part drops down to the surface.
Maybe you have to use the "cut" function after rotating and only keep the upper part.

Yes, the part is on the surface till rotating and slicing it, then it`s in the air. Before rotating and slicing everything is ok.
I will give it a try with cutting the lower part.

Is this a bug?

Maybe you have to enable the 'detect thin walls' option?

With the ‚detect thin walls‘ option it seems to slices ok, I will soon have a try. White PLA is out sad smiley
