Hi !
I'm tinkering with vacuum forming and molding various stuff using 3D printed shapes.
Recently, I found this document from Fortus ( [
mafiadoc.com] )
it describes a pretty elegant slicing process to 3D print "porous" parts as follow :
Apply to even-numbered layers :
- Contour style : None
- Adjacent rasters : 0.25 mm
Apply to odd-numbered layers :
- Contour style : perimeter/raster
- Adjacent rasters : 2.00 mm
Apply to up-facing surfaces that use odd-numbered slice settings :
- Contour style: perimeter/raster
- Adjacent rasters : 0.38 mm
That's for theory. In practice, is it possible to use Slic3r to slice the parts that way (in particular, apply those alternate settings on layers) ?
Best regards,
Flo
