Software printer barrier?

if i was to home x and make it move 100mm it will do so but will not move further than that , in repetier host the x position does show that it increased , bu the x will move to its 100mm position and stop going further , even if i was to move it 10 back and 100 forward it would move 10 and stop. also while printing when it gets to that x position it just keeps extruding plastic on that x position while the y moves . in printer settings i have build area setup to 200x200x100 so it shouldnt be that :\

and it seems like my z has the same problem because after a certain hight the z axis wont raise itself which causes plastic to be deposited very thinly over the previous layer eventually causing sccraping/clogging sad smiley

There are parameters that you can set, both in the firmware (eeprom in the latest version) and in the host, where you can define the "shape" of your printer. It sounds like you may have mismatched values here. Double check and make sure you have values that make sense, keeping in mind that in most cases, the range of motion is greater than the size of the bed.

What I mean by that is that the bed, which is about 200mm x 200mm, has a homing position that is probably at (-30, -10), and the maximum position of the nozzle might be around (240, 210).
