Model not slicing properly

Hi,

I'm relatively new to 3D printing, I have printed off a few bits and pieces succesfully, and I am tryign to learn as much about the software I am using as possible, but I am hitting a brick wall trying to print a model from Thingiverse Thingiverse . When I load the stl into Repetier, it renders normal, but once I use Slic3r to initiate the printing, it gets all messed up. I have a screen shot of it here. I just don't know what is going on, and where to start looking so any help would be appreciated!

If it matters, I'm using a printrbot LC v2, Repitier-Host v0.85b and the built in Slic3r function.

I could be very wrong, but it might be worth running it through netfabb's online repair tool first and see if that fixes it. Any issues I have with bad slicing I always try this first as it is a very quick and easy test.
