Testing motors on solidoodle no extruder
July 25, 2013 12:50AM
Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum and to programming. I have a gen 2 solidoodle. Currently my extruder is being replaced. I was wondering if there was a way in repetier host to run the x, y, and z motors through g-code. I tried to write a simple program but I can't seem to disable the extruder so that it does it can run without it. Hope that makes sense. Any help would be very.. Well... Helpful. Thanks in advance.

1. Select Print Panel (Manual Control)
2. Click Dry Run
3. Load a G-Code file
4. Click Run

Thanks for the reply. Where is print panel? And will this work with the extruder motor unplugged? It is unplugged because the hot end is being replaced due to clogging.

.. Repetier Host > right top corner. I'm using Repetier-Host Mac 0.56. Which Host Version did you install?

Edit: Repetier-Host V0.90C (Windows) > Print Panel = Manual Control

I am using repetier host for windows. So it's under manual control. Okay, I will give that a try. Thanks.

I didn't try, but it should work without extruder (Motor and Hotend).

Did your printer work before you disconnected the Extruder?

Yes, it printed just fine.

I've just tested it with Repetier-Host Mac 0.56 without extruder and without any Temp sensors. It works for me.

After connecting the printer I clicked [Home All] first and then Run.

... I've just tested "Dry Run" with Marlin-Firmware, it doesn't work. You need Repetier-Firmware.
