Repetier Host 0.90c Loading Error (Win7)
October 12, 2013 12:59PM
Hello,

I recently purchased a printrbot LCv2 and started using the Repetier Host 0.90c program to create prints. I just started creating successful prints until recently where when I try to start the Repetier Host program I receive this error:

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

The details of the error are:

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I have previously run the program (last week) with no problems, until a few days ago where I suddenly started receiving this error. I can't remember anything happening between then that would cause an error. I have repaired, completely uninstalled and reinstalled the .net 4 framework many times, uninstalling and re-installing Repetier as well. I have ran a complete antivirus (Avast!) on my computer, CCleaner, and Glary Utilities as I was doing this as well. I have also ran a .net framework verification tool that confirms that .net is working fine. This is all on my desktop, running Win7. Any help would be great! Thanks

If it is a host configuration issue, you need to delete a part of the registry, see http://www.repetier.com/documentation/repetier-host/repetier-host-documentation-troubleshooting/, section Configuration data.

From your log I see it crashes during setup of the 3d window. So the other question is, if you have installed a new graphic driver and if you have installed a OpenGL driver? Perhaps you run a OpenGL test program and see if that works or not and which versions are supported. The host uses a rather old standard to be compatible with older hardware.

Thanks! Seems like it was the registry error. It has popped up again once so far, but seems to be working alright now. Thanks again for the help and quick reply smiling smiley
