Repetier Host bug

Does anyone know why Repetier Host does this after about an hour of printing? It starts off fine and shows the current head travel but then suddenly looks like this and the progress doesn't update.

Thanks
Greg

It's not a bug - it's a feature. Under Repetier General Settings you can disable quality reduction. It's meant to reduce resource usage so that there are no delays in sending gcode to the printer.

You should not disable quality reduction. If you see in the status bar FPS is already down to 12 frames per second. Commands get only send between frame updates and the print gets jerky if framerate gets too low. From the values I assume your computer has not the fastest graphic card. For bigger prints you should even think about disabling visualization completely.

We noticed that if you leave the tab showing the current 3D path (the animated printing), Repetier consumes more and more resources and slows down the printing. Use that view briefly, but leave another tab selected, like Temperature, so that the print does not slow down.
