Im not sure if the developers read this forum but I have a couple of suggestions.
I have two separate printers and the critical first layer gap often varies on both. I guess it’s the limitation of microswitch repeatability.
However, if I observe the first layer is not going down well I often ‘tweak’ the z motor by hand, overcoming the holding torque to move it one step.
It would be great to be able to do this from the screen, and probably more accurate.
The second suggestion (also posted on general) is to have a post print missed step check by having all carriages return home. Any missed steps ( or distance errors) could be reported to allow for investigation. Likewise it would be good to have the printer thrash about (on a dry run) and occasionally check home position.
