Repetier 0.92 - mix optical and mechanical endstops ?
September 09, 2014 08:33AM
Hi all
I'm in the process of moving from a GEN7 1.5 AVR (thank you Traumflug for this superb controller board) running Repetier 0.92 to a RAMPS 1.4 (that will have the same FW) in order to add an additional extruder to my Prusa i2.

The GEN7 only supports 3 endstops (min) while the RAMPS supports both min and max endstops for each axis.

I'm using 3 mechanical endstops with the GEN7 for the min of each axis but would like to use 3 additional optical endstops that I have lying around as max endstops. So my question is the following, is it possible to mix optical and mechanical endstops in the same build ? Any special configuration or thing that I have to take into account ?

Thanks for your help

Michele

Mixing is no problem. Each endstop has its own invert/pullup setting as you can see in the online configuration tool.

That is good news.

And thanks for answering my question.
