Object does not show in Host

Object does not show in Host
October 18, 2014 03:36PM
I was used to Ponterface and I liked the toolhead path simulation on the screen, while printing.

Now I have moved to Repetier Host, but probably I make some errors, because:

I do not see the objects I load.
I do not se the layers when printing.

It concerns objects that have been sliced outside of Repetier (by Slic3r) so I load Gcode only.

Any idea why I do not see my objects on the build plate in the left pane ? Also not when hitting the preview tab

You might have "Show Filament" disabled in the top toolbar.

Repetier-Software - the home of Repetier-Host (Windows, Linux and Mac OS X) and Repetier-Firmware.

Ha.. that is for one !

So I activated the show filament button.

Now, depending on the settings of the preview screen, I see either one layer or all layers (complete object),
but I do not see the layer being built in real time, as Pronterface does,

Also it does not advance layers while the Z-table moves...

Is that not an option ?

You see progress only when manual control tab is active. Then you see in red what just gets printed and the rest in your filament color.

Than I must have an error.
On manual control, I only see 3/4 of the skirt and nothing else.

Check the log ()easy mode off, toggle log). It will stop updating graphics if framerate gets too low to protect print. This can happen when your pc does not use VBOs because you said so or you have a very old graphic driver.

I get this error in the log now:
(translated in English by myself)

Can't find entry point GlGenbuffer in OpenGL ...

So my installation is in error ?

GlGenbuffer is a function that your OpenGL driver should provide. Sounds like it does not so you should try to find a newer version and update that. I guess it is quite old? Function should be included at least since OpenGL 1.5.

I don't recall to have OpenGL installed actually. Does it come with Repetier ?
I Upgrade Repetier every time, just recently too.

No, OpenGL is part of your graphic card driver and has nothing to do with repetier except that repetier uses it for 3d visualization.
