Changing layer height
July 03, 2015 12:18PM
Greetings to all.

Suppose that at mid-print I need to change the next layers height. This can be necessary if I am printing an architectural model with vertical walls (lets say 0.2mm) and then a series of slanted walls have to be printed. They would look much better with 0.1mm layers. Anyone knows the code I should write, using Slic3r or directly modifying the g-code? Thanks for any help.

You need to do such special things directly in Slic3r not over host->slic3r as this allows no changed parameters. See slic3r manual on how to do this. Especially with 1.2.9 included in Host 1.5 you can even change parameters for intersections with configuration stls.
