Invalid Delta Coordinate - Move ignored Issue

Invalid Delta Coordinate - Move ignored Issue

Hi Community,

I recently setup a Kossel XL Delta Printer and switched the first time to Repetier Firmware due to autoleveling Options.

The Kossel has mechanic endstop Switches, a heatbed, and FSR Sensors for Autoleveling. I use a Rumba Board with 32 Microsteps. Extruder is installed but not yet finetuned for steps per mm.
Nozzle is Z-Probe and it is connected and configured directly to Z-Min Pin.

My Printer seems to be missconfigured.
When I use G28 right after startup it homes perfectly.
When I try to G30 after homing it is coming down to approx 10mm above the Surface and gives an error message.
- Invalid Delta Coordinate (only Z-Axis) with a Value of -101180 (what does that mean)
- after that I Need to shutdown and restart... otherwise I got another Message popup --> RequestPause: Homing failed

I am really stuck and search Solutions for the last 4 Weeks. Found a lot of People talking about the same Issues but as soon as they got a solution they just do not feedback to the community.
Therefore I decided to "nerv" you all with the same (hopefully silly) Problems again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Martin

Check your eeprom values. This normally happens when some values are set to nonsense values due to wrong eeprom initalization Happens if you had a different config on first upload.

Thanks for your reply.

Ok. So I used M502 to reset all settings to Firmware defaults.

In fact I need some more information.
When calibratet.... what procedure do I have to follow?
I stuck with a simple G30 and got failure messages (Invalid Delta Coordinate (only Z-Axis)). I rechecked all entries in the firmware and for me they seem ok.
Printer is well calibrated and the end-effector is almost everywhere at the same hight when moving around close to the surface.
That whole auto-bed-leveling thing is a bit frustrating right now. I never had a successful G29.

Did you probably took a look at my config.h? Is there something wrong?
I need to know where I have to start trouble-shooting.

Thanks for any advise.

You better once change EEPROM_MODE if you do not want top read your eeprom values.

Do didn't read config. Too time intensive with all the questions I get.

Once G30 works the rest will start working as well since it is just repeated usage of G30.

Hi Readers,

Finally I found a post of you wrote at the end of 2013 where you mentioned a Problem using large Diagonal Rods over 300mm. This thing is still not fixed. Firmware does no Floating or whatever for larger ways.
I decided to Switch to 16Microsteps changed steps per mm in config.h and Voila! it worked.

For all Delta Users out there this is a way to go.

Cheers

It should switch to float on AVR boards and to 64 bit int on arduino due based boards.
