Unable to run Repetier-Host

Good day, everyone! Please give me a hand here
I cannot run Repetier-host neither from the terminal, nor via the desktop configuration file. What do I do? This is what I keep getting:

Trying to run a .net application on a linux machine is an abomination

Use Cura, or Pronterface, or Simply3d or MatterControl if you really must... anything but Repetier-Host

Umm, you did d/l the linux version i hope.

The Linux version works well for me...
(Linux Mint v18.2, 64-bit)
