How precise do the rod lengths need to be?

Hello I was wondering how precise the rod lengths need to be. I did a test cut for the 8mm x 230mm rod and it was 2mm short or 228mm long. Will that work or does it have to be exact on all the rods?

Thank you,

Cameron

The 5/16" rods can be short by about 5mm before it causes a serious issue. 2mm too short should not cause any issue other than noise when the rods move which can be solved with a little tape on the ends so they do not slide as easy. The 8mm x 170mm rods can be shorter by about the same without issue. The longer 8mm rods should be as close as possible to avoid having to tape or glue them to prevent them from moving. None of them should be any longer then rated by more than 0.5mm as they either fit between things or in the case of the 8mm by 170 rods they will touch the cables if too long.
