LM8UU + LM8SUU vs 2x LM8UU ?

I've got a bunch of LM8UUs sitting here on my desk but the LM8SUUs are slowwwwly shipping from China. Is there any reason I couldn't just use 2 LM8UUs?

Two LM8UUs are too long for the carriage. You would lose 7 millimeters on X and Y axis.

I'm using 2 LM8UU's on may carriage right now with zero problems (you do loose some print space). My actual build area is only 95x95 but since I only use the tantillus for very small intricate parts it suits me just fine.

Oh that's weird... These are labeled LM8UU but they are 17mm long.

Some places that sell linear bearings sell the short ones as the normal size. That is actually how I came across the short ones in the first place.

There should be no problem using all short ones in the carriage and they should also work on the Z stage but may require a little glue to ensure they do not slip out of place.
