My wooden machine is glued but I have never glues an acrylic one. Also the joints of the acrylic case were not designed to be really tight so gluing may not be as easy as acrylic can be. With all that said a few people have glued them and it has not caused any issues. I also know that WillWorkForPlastic made braces that are bolted on the top and bottom as well as glued in little gussets inside the corners. I believe he said he would use the bolted ones again but the glued ones were not necessary.
