Whenever I print larger objects, the extruder fan knocks off the clips.

Can anyone suggest a good alternative to the bulldog clips provided?

I was thinking large paperclips.

Check that the fan is not drooping downwards. If it is put a shim between the bracket and the carriage above the screws to level it.

I took off the chrome parts and that helped somewhat.

No droop, but thanks for the tip Nophead.

I suffered from the same problem when I built my machine months ago.
I simply used Kapton tape round the four edges of the glass and fixed it to the bed. It has been fine ever since and I haven't had to replace it yet.

Good call on the Kapton tape. I'm planning to use it on the glass the next time I print something large.
