Funny noises - Bad bearings?

I have a Medel90 Dibond printer from Nophead and have printed 2-3 kg of plastic. I have noticed a progressively louder scratchy/crunchy/grindy noise when the machine is running. It appears to occur primarily when the bed moves in the +Y direction (toward the back). Is it likely that one or more of the Y axis bearings is bad? I have applied light machine oil to the guide rods and Z axis screws occasionally.

If it is likely the bearings please advise regarding a source for replacement linear bearings and suggestions for better maintenance. Perhaps I should be using grease rather than a light oil.

Thanks

I have a machine that has done that from new. It prints just as well as any of my machines and it has been running like that continuously for since the beginning of kit production.

I find grease gums them up and causes the axis to seize so I only use oil.

You can buy the bearings all over the place. Just Google LM8UU.

Thanks Chris. I'll just keep printing and not worry too much about it.
