hello,

i don't use m mendel 90 anymore for 3D printing so i want to use him now as a CNC mill for PCB milling.
i've already mount a dremel and a milling surface instead of the heatedbed but know i need a firmware update, is there already a firmware?

Hi,

I believe that GRBL is designed for CNC milling. You could start with that.

I will use a flex shaft with my dremel. If that doesnt work well, i will make me a new x carriage where i can mount my dremel on.

The problem with flex shafts is they all seem to have end play. Perhaps another bearing can be added to prevent it.

Something like this might be better: [www.thingiverse.com]. Lighter, faster and also can vacuum up the chips.

There are a lot of people that uses a dremel tool and the results are good, i will give it a try
But that piece from your link looks great and i will print that out just for checking because it looks very handy
