Hopefully this is an easy question!

If I tighten my X carriage belt, will it affect any settings? It all works fine at the moment but I think it could be a little tighter. It just about resonates a bit when plucked, but very low.

'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' jumps to mind though

It must have some effect on the X steps per mm as the belt must stretch with more tension but I think the effect is minute compared to say how much plastic shrinks when cooling.
