PSU directions in the dibond manual

I'm self sourcing my own machine, but I'm trying to follow as closely as i can the dibond manual.

I have a 310W atx power supply (Delta 310W Power Supply (DPS-310CB A) (17a on 12v rail) , and was wondering if the steps outlined in the manual can be applicable for other atx power supply units, particularly when using all of the yellow (12v) wires together (a friend raised concerns about different 12v rails in the same psu- I did open it and it appears all yellow wires are soldered to the same copper pad) and all the black wires together.

Also I'm using ramps so would it be advisable to connect 2 yellow wires to the 5a input and 4 yellow wires to the 11a input?

I've never used an atx power supply before so i'm not too sure exactly what i'm doing just yet, so apologies if the question is a little trivial, I'd rather do it correctly and safely. smiling smiley

This page gives a lot more data relating to various ATX power supplies and their use in a reprap:
