Hallo,
I took the time last evening to calibrate my printing bed. That was when I discovered it isn't really even, the border is about 0,1mm higher than the middle. It looks now exactley like this:
(not really scaled, and in bracets are the difference from the zero level in 0,01mm)
|+10|..............|+10|..............|+10|
................................................
|+00|..............|+00|..............|+00|
................................................
|+10|..............|+07|..............|+10|
For the square from mendel90s x=y: -40....+40 it looks like this (koordinates|difference from zero point)
[40,-40|+1]..[20,-40|+1]..[0,-40|+1]..[-20,-40|+2]..[-40,-40|+2]
......................................................................................
[40,-20|-1]..[20,-20|-1]..[0,-20|-1]..[-20,-20|+0]..[-40,-20|+0]
......................................................................................
[40,00|-2]..[20,00|-2]..[0,00|0]..[-20,00|-1]..[-40,00|+0]
......................................................................................
[40,20|-2]..[20,20|-2]..[0,20|-1]..[-20,20|-1]..[-40,20|+0]
......................................................................................
[40,40|0]..[20,40|0]..[0,40|0]..[-20,40|0]..[-40,40|+1]
Under the Printing bed I have no cardbord, instead I use this [
www.electronic-things.de] (should be stone wool). Rest of the printer is as nophead sold it to me, i only bought 13mm maulys instead of the 19mm, which tendend to crash into the frame.
My concerns are now:
- How to calibrate the printer: Use the mainly used zero point and adjust first layer height for bigger prints? How shure can I be that the noozle doesn't crash in the glass bed at the heigher border?
- How can I fix the uneven bed? Even without the glass and only the mk2 bed i have the same issue
