I am wondering why some of the printers are going to a 5mm Z screw instead of the popular 8mm?

Thoughts?

Cheaper, although I found 5mm too slow, so use 6mm, which has the advantage of having 1mm pitch. Also 5mm is a bit flimsy for a machine with the motors at the bottom.
