Mendel90 no USB connect anymore

hi, 10 minutes ago i wanted to print, i switched on the printer, opened pronterface, loaded the file, and the printer began homing. then, while homing it´s going of.
no movement, no connection anymore. like dead. fan is running. tested different computers, no one recognizes him.
cabling via octprint, octoprint recognizes the printer, and i can start a print, but then only one z rod is spinning, and nothing happens...
what happened to my dear?

Check the ground connection to the Melzi is tight.

By "cabling via octprint" do you mean it works when connected to a Raspberry Pi but not to other computers? If so how is RPI powered and how are the other computers powered?

Does it create a USB connection on the other computers but the hosts don't connect or does the host not offer the USB serial port?

Try checking the 12V supply rail voltage.

unplugged all the wires, cleaned the contacts, rewired, and....it works!!!
