Extruder inlet

I just started to build a Mendel90 as my first printer. Printed parts have been done from the latest github files.

The installation of the PTFE tubing to the extruder inlet confuses me. On the spool holder side there is on the dust filter a 6mm hole for the tube. Now I am looking for a similar option on the extruder but there is a 4mm hole only. On the attached picture which comes from the github also there seems to be a thing installed and I cannot find anything on the building instruction.

Drill a 6mm hole into the extruder and fix the tubing into it? Any help appreciated.

Matthias

The tube just buts against the extruder. There is no need to connect it because it gets pulled towards it.

Where is that picture on github? It is out of date.

Oh I see. That is a professional photo of one of the very first kits. A few things have changed since then but I don't have a nice shiny newly built kit or the photographic ability to update it.
