Acrylic BOM

Hello everyone,
I am clearly new to this so please bare with mesmiling smiley

I was looking at the BOM of mendel compared to dibond and i notticed that it has not square steel pillars on the bottom even tho the frame holes are there.
Should I use them on an acrylic design?

also is there any benefit of using t2.5 belt instead of t5 and the corresponding pulley instead of the printed one?

Thank you,
Yiangos

It doesn't have the holes for them at the front. The holes at the back are shared with the fixing blocks on the Dibond version and for the fixing blocks only on the acrylic.

They are only required on the Dibond version because it has screw heads underneath, so has to be lifted up. The acrylic has tapped holes and a thicker base so it doesn't need the tubes, which are actually aluminium not steel.

I don't think there is much difference between well printed T5 pulleys and T2.5 but printed ones can be hit and miss and T2.5 are more readily available nowadays, so I would recommend those or GT2. You can select either and rebuild the files to get plastic parts to match.

That is a mystery because that line is opening the file to write to it, so it should not matter if it exists. Also the file does exist on github [github.com], so it is a double mystery.

Do you have a /Users/yiangosyiangou/Documents/Mendel90/scad/conf directory?
