Building my first 3d printer - Mendel90 Z axis assembly

Hi everyone smiling smiley

I have a problem assembling the rods, Z axis clamps and x idler.
The side where the x_clamps are is not parallel to the gantry moving up and down the rods.
I've tried loosening and tightening the z axis clamps screws & motor screw (attaching to the gantry) with no luck.
Replacing the rods with the second made no difference either (thought maybe it was crooked) and this problem occurs on both sides.
Seems like the Z clamp and motor mount are not concentric.

See pictures and clip:

Any tips and suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi,

Your pictures would show the problem better taken from the side view but I am guessing you may have used the Y-rod clamp instead of the Z-rod one. The Y-rod clamp is shorter.

I figured it out. Used the wrong clamps (Duh.)
