Mendel90 + Pronterface + Slic3r = non centered prints
June 11, 2015 08:45PM
Hello Everybody,

I recently finished building my mendel 90 and got it to communicate with my macbook. I am currently using pronterface and slic3r to print. I have successfully printed the android test file with this set up however whenever I print anything else the print is extremely offset to the front left corner, causing the object to be halfway out of bounds so only half of the object is printed. I believe the problem maybe in the code or the slicer but I am not sure. I have tried to set the center in both slic3r & pronterface using both 0,0 and 100,100 and i am still getting the same results. I have also tried using the plater tool in pronterface to convert the still to gcode and i am still experiencing the same problems.

Please Help!

Slic3r needs to be configured to centre the print at (0,0) and Pronterface needs to be configured to display 0,0 in the middle of the view of the bed. There are examples in the manual but they are very out of date as these programs change frequently.

I had the same problem....

Set Slic3r to be 200x200 wide and the origin to 100,100

Now in Pronterface set the X and Y offset to be -100 on each...

These are all for the latest versions (albeit on Win7)....
