Clog hot head - up high

Hi fellas,

My hot head got clogged, I disassembled it and realized its blocked up-high where the filament enters the heating element.
Any tips on how to remove it? I tried heating to 230 but the heat is not reaching up there to make it rubbery enough to insert some tool and pull or clean.
Should I drill it?

Thanks!

No don't drill it. Dip the top in a glass of hot water to make the blob rubbery, then pull it out with needle nosed pliers.

Hot water wasn't enough.I eventually used a mini-torch with a hot head to melt and distort the lump of plastic that was blocking + needle nosed pliers.

I should have said hot water from a kettle. It only needs to heat the PLA to 60-70C but hot water from a tap is probably not that hot.
